General sales conditions
The clauses of this document represent the agreement between L’HOTEL NOMAD and THE CLIENT holder of the booking.
Rates: All our rates are displayed in Canadian dollars, excluding taxes.
Taxes: Taxes (GST, QST, and lodging taxes) have to be added to displayed rates.
FLEXIBLE RATE: To benefit from our best available rate (BAR), the GUEST must book at the hotel at www.lhotel.com or by phone. Every booking will be made according to the current availabilities and terms at the time of the booking for a given date.
Deposit: To guarantee every booking, the hotel needs a valid credit card number and will charge the amount equal to the cost of the first night of the stay (including taxes) on this credit card at the time of the booking.
Booking modification (*): According to the rate chosen and availabilities at the time of the modification, the guest can modify his booking until 3 days before the initial check-in date. Once this time limit has expired, modifications are no longer possible, and the booking is final.
Cancellation between the reservation date and 3 days before the arrival date (*): In the case of a cancellation between the reservation date and 3 days before the arrival date, only a fee of 20$ plus taxes will be charged, and the balance of the deposit will be credited to the credit card.
Booking cancellation within less than 3 days before the check-in date (*): In case of cancellation within less than 3 days before the check-in date, irrespective of the reason for the cancellation (**), the total stay is due and charged on the credit card.
SEMI FLEXIBLE RATE: this rate is NON-REFUNDABLE and can be canceled up to 7 days before the arrival date. Deposit: The total amount of the stay (plus taxes), excluding extras, will be charged to the credit card at the time of booking (**). In case of cancellation or modification (of dates) – this non-refundable deposit is transformed into a credit valid for 12 MONTHS from the date of the initial reservation (e.g., John reserves on March 18 for June 30, the credit will be valid until March 18 of the following year.
– Cancellation or modification at least 7 days before arrival (noon) – $15 fee and credit carryover.
– Cancellation or modification less than 7 days before arrival – cancellation fee: the total amount of stay reserved.
NON-REFUNDABLE RATE: A booking that benefits from a Non-refundable is final without any possibility of modification or refund (**).
Deposit: The hotel will charge an amount equal to the total stay (including the taxes) on the credit card at the booking time.
Respect for places: It is the guests’ responsibility to respect the location, including decorative objects, furniture, fabrics, bedding… the hotel reserves the right to claim monetary compensation to replace the missing or damaged items, up to 3 (three) times the total replacement value.
Group events or parties, including pre-wedding stag/bachelor and hen/bachelorette parties.
All these types of activities are strictly prohibited in the hotel. The hotel will refuse access or call the police force, instructing them to expel anyone willing to participate in such an event. The total stay will be charged without any possibility of a refund, and an additional 500$ (five hundred dollars) plus taxes will be charged as a penalty.
Non-smoking hotel: The hotel is a strictly non-smoking place. A fine of 1’000$ (thousand dollars) will be imposed on anyone who won’t respect this rule.
Respect the maximum allowed capacity of guests per room: It is the responsibility of the guests to respect the maximum permitted capacity of guests according to the type of room booked. Otherwise, the hotel reserves the right to prohibit access to the booked room or to charge extra costs to the guests for the use of a larger room, if available, to guarantee the comfort and safety of the guests.
Pets: All types of pets/animals are prohibited in the hotel
Loss or theft on site. The hotel assumes no responsibility in case of loss or theft of personal property if safety instructions are not respected or if the guests do not take the most basic principles of prudence to prevent this kind of event.
The jurisdiction and place of performance for all litigation are Québec-city, Canada, Quebec, and Canadian law shall apply regardless of the plaintiff’s nationality.
(*) To be considered, modifications or cancellations must be made with the same method as the one used to make the booking.
(**) It is the guests’ responsibility to purchase travel insurance with the company of their choice.
The hotel assumes no responsibility in case of annulation or modification of a booking, even if the reason is directly or indirectly linked or due to
– Bad weather conditions or severe weather
– Natural disasters, forest fires, floods, volcanic eruptions, earthquake
– Canceled or delayed flights
– Illness, death of the guest, or one of his relatives.
– Loss of employment
– Strikes, wars, riots, acts of God, governmental action, pandemic, terrorist act
